Darts round-up 25/1 – Dutch Darts Masters

Yesterday (25/1) the draw for the Dutch Darts Masters came out and group B and C of the Modus Super Series kicked off. But today, the Dutch darts masters begins.

Tips for today:

5 points e/w at MvG to win the Dutch Darts Masters.

3 points on Aspinall to beat Noppert at 8/11.

We’ve went with that after a careful look at the draw. IN the Bahrain Dutch Masters, Michael van Gerwen put in some great performances before losing in the final. Arguably the two best players in the world right now, Littler and Humphries, will meet in the quarter finals supposing they win their first round games, making them rather unenticing prospects.

Round-up since the World Championship – More history for Luke Littler.

Welcome to the first post on DartsTipping, keeping you informed on what’s going on in the darting world. The world watched the World Championship final as two fantastic Lukes lit up the stage with Humphries eventually beating Littler to become champion of the world. From then in the PDC we have seen Q-school, 4 challenge tours, and the Bahrain darts masters. Some notable names secured tour cards for themselves, with the like of Jelle Klassen (former BDO World Champion and Premier League player), Andy Baetens (Former WDF world champion and number 1), and the 18 year-old sensation Leighton Bennett. The challenge tour this year went off with a bang, with two players who just lost their tour cards (Richie Burnett and Danny Jansen) immediately taking the first two challenge tour titles – both players beating Darryl Pilgrim in their finals. The next two challenge tours show the growing strength of darts abroad with Swede Oskar Lukasiak winning challenge tour 3 and the Swiss frontrunner Stefan Bellmont cinching the fourth title. The Bahrain Darts Masters saw Luke Littler show the world without any doubt he’s no one-hit wonder and that he’s here to stay. On route to becoming the youngest ever winner of a World Series, he beat Man Lok Leung and reigning matchplay champion Nathan Aspinall – starting this match with a nine-darter – becoming the only player other than Phil Taylor to do so on a world Series stage and making him the youngest ever player in history to attain the perfect leg on the senior tour. Following these wins, he beat Gerwyn Price, with a 350 in 6 darts en route to the win, before defeating Michael van Gerwen in the final of the event to win his first ever senior tour title.

To summarise, Q-school has bought some legends of the past and the future onto the tour, the challenge tour is up again this year, and Luke Littler makes more history.

Outside of the PDC, 3 weeks of Modus Super Series have come and gone with some excellent moments being produced (even Wolfie hitting a 9…), and the amount of legendary names you can expect from the Modus Super Series gracing the stage. The 3 names booking themselves a slot in champions week are Chris Landman, Neil Duff, and Wayne Jones. Following Chris Landman winning a tourcard, we will not be seeing him play in Champions week, likely with runner-up Ron Meulenkamp likely to take his place. With the World Seniors Darts Tour World Championship getting ever-closer, three events have been played. A qualifying spot for the World Seniors Championship went to Martyn Turner, with Welshmen Derek Coulson and Wayne Davies winning open series 1 and 2 respectively.

Coming up today is the 5th challenge tour of the year and another World Seniors Championship qualifying spot.
